Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how PackRightly uses cookies and similar technologies.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites can place on your device when you visit them.
They can be used for purposes such as remembering preferences, keeping users signed in, measuring website traffic, personalizing content, or tracking advertising activity.
Our Use of Cookies
PackRightly uses essential cookies to run the site and to remember your analytics choice. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels, or behavioral advertising tools.
Essential cookies:
packrightly_consent — about 6 months — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It stores that choice only.
packrightly_admin — up to 7 days — HTTP-only. Set only after someone signs in to the catalog admin, so that session stays logged in. Ordinary visitors do not receive this cookie.
Analytics cookies, only after you accept:
_ga — about 2 years — set by Google Analytics 4 — distinguishes browsers
ga followed by our measurement id — about 2 years — set by Google Analytics 4 — keeps session state
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visitors and to see actions such as generating a checklist, opening a template, downloading a PDF, or opening a product link. We do not send the trip name you type. Google describes its own processing at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you reject analytics, we do not load Google Analytics and those Google cookies are not set.
Packing lists you build stay in your browser on this device (localStorage). That is not a cookie.
Our website may still use limited technical functionality provided by our hosting or infrastructure providers where necessary to operate, secure, or deliver the website.
Affiliate Links
Our website contains affiliate links.
We do not place affiliate tracking cookies on your device ourselves simply because you visit our website.
However, when you click an affiliate link and are directed to a third-party website, that third party may place cookies or use similar technologies to record that you were referred by us.
These cookies are controlled by the third party and are subject to that company's own privacy and cookie policies.
Third-Party Websites
If you follow a link from our website to another website, that website may use cookies independently of us.
We do not control cookies or tracking technologies used by third-party websites.
Cookie Consent
We display a cookie consent banner so you can accept or reject analytics cookies. The essential consent cookie is always used so we can remember that choice.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies or services used on our website change.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
